About This Role:

The Account Executive, Local Markets will be responsible for driving sales growth with television stations and local market currency adoption in our across an assigned account load.  The successful candidate’s core focus will be to close new station business across a broad list of prospect television stations and assist the VP of Local Market Sales in securing renewals, new business and driving currency adoption within the assigned account load.

We are seeking a high performing individual who combines strong negotiating skills, a “hunter” mentality, analytical acumen, razor sharp communication skills and a passion to win. The successful candidate will be skilled sales person with a relentless work ethic and a desire to aggressively pursue new business in an innovative, fast-paced company. Our ideal candidate will have experience in Local Broadcast television or cable television sales or agency buying experience at the local market level. The ideal candidate will already have skill and experience with Comscore’s solutions suite. The position will work at the direction of the VP of Local Markets and partner with the Account Managers assigned to the team. 

What You'll Do:

  • The position will support the company's revenue goals through selling Comscore’s suite of Local products and services to Television stations, as well as supporting existing television stations sales team transition sales efforts to Comscore’s currency.

  • The successful candidate will use specialized Comscore product knowledge to conduct detailed technical product demonstrations tailored to highlight the value and benefits that Comscore’s suite of solutions (s) brings to the client. These demonstrations will illustrate our unique value proposition of delivering a superior and more reliable Local audience measurement suite of solutions to television stations and their clients.

  • Position will be responsible for building and maintaining sales pipelines in Sales Force on a weekly basis and update the VP of Local Markets on a weekly progress and issues.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client’s business, in order to use real and detailed examples to demonstrate how the Comscore solutions suite can assist them in achieving their business objectives

  • Achieve deep technical knowledge of Comscore’s Local television products. This understanding can only be achieved through experience in deploying Comscore’s solutions which will require a commitment to learning and training

  • Forge solid, strategic relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts as well as internal account relationship stakeholders. The Regional VP of Sales must serve as a credible, trustworthy representative of Comscore and our products to maintain and grow the client business.

  • Ability to communicate successfully with a diverse set of clients and decision makers, spanning all levels of organizations and across the sales and research functions at TV stations

  • Assist in building strategic and account-specific new business development plans and achieve them successfully


What You’ll Need:

  •  Highly aggressive and proactive sales professional with 2 to 3+ years of success in the television sales, agency buying or media research industries

  •  Working knowledge of Comscore measurement solutions.

  • Knowledge of media research and how information can be applied to help clients achieve their goals

  • Strong communication skills; particularly the ability to create compelling, story-based demonstrations to illustrate the unique value proposition of Comscore Local data to television stations.

  • Excellent interpersonal and account management aptitude; ability to quickly build trust within a large and diverse client organization

  • Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000; commensurate with experience
