Location: Pune, India

About This Role:

Comscore’s security operations analyst is an important member of the information security team responsible for selecting, supporting, and using security technologies that ensure incidents are promptly detected, investigated, and remediated. The security operations analyst collaborates with stakeholders within application development, infrastructure, and operations to develop and maintain security solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and administer security technology platforms, such as Firewall, Endpoint Protection, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR),Intrusion Detection/Prevention (IDS/IPS), Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Cloud Workload Protection (CWP), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Vulnerability Assessment (VA), Application Security Testing (xAST).
  • Monitor security events. Promptly contain and remediate security incidents to support a 24x7 Security Operations Center.
  • Develop playbooks to ensure a thorough and speedy incident response.
  • Perform threat and vulnerability assessments, followed by appropriate remedial action, to ensure that systems are protected from known and potential threats and are free from known vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with Comscore's IT department and members of the information security team to research, evaluate, recommend, and implement information security solutions that protect against threats and monitor compliance with company policies.
  • Harden and audit application, operating system, and network devices in accordance with the company’s defined policies, standards and procedures, industry best practices, and vendor guidelines.
  • Recommend and schedule application and system security patches.
  • Develop standard operating procedures to support security infrastructure.
  • Maintain security/network architecture diagrams and other documentation.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three years' IT security or network security experience.
  • Industry Certifications (e.g. CISSP, SANS, CompTIA/Security+/Linux+, CISA).
  • Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management.
  • Technical proficiency with security-related systems and applications, especially Endpoint Protection (AV), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Intrusion Detection/Response (IDS/IPS), Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Denial of Service (DOS) prevention capabilities.
  • Experience in ‘pentesting’ and application security testing.
  • Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security procedures.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated network protocols and concepts.
  • Working technical knowledge of current systems' software, protocols and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems and a wide range of security technologies, including firewalls (Palo Alto Networks preferred), vulnerability scanners, anti-malware solutions, SIEM, intrusion detection and prevention, application security testing, Web Application Firewall, identity and access management systems.
  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, or AWS CLI required.
  • Experience with Kali Linux, WireShark, or other security tools.
  • Experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining security procedures.
  • Experience with frameworks, such as ISO 27001, the National Institute of Standards Technology (NIST), or ITIL desirable.
  • Ability to work in meetings during US hours as needed (Pacific and Eastern Time)

Shift Timing:

This position requires flexibility to work off-hours shifts every few weeks to support our 24x7 Security Operations Center and the to meet with U.S.-based personnel on US Eastern and Pacific Time as required (a few times a week).


  • 13 days of privilege leave and 12 days of casual leave, earned on an accrual basis
